Boris Van Dyck
Boris combined his passion for mixology with his years of experience in the food and beverage industry to launch ICEBOX in 2007. His goal was to bring a new level of professionalism and sophistication to the Charleston bartending scene. Soon after, he co-founded EVENT Dining Rental Solutions, which launched in 2009.
Boris grew up working in his family’s restaurants across the globe. During his time in Belgium, the Caribbean and New York, he cultivated a life-long passion for food, wine, and spirits. With the help several local mixology enthusiasts, Boris spearheaded the formation of the first United States Bartender’s Guild Charleston Chapter. Recently, he served his winning “Ginger Apple Mojito”, at the 2011 BB&T Wine + Food Festival. He also serves as Spirits Chair for the BB&T Wine + Food Festival and works as a consultant for several local restaurants and bars.
