                                              Chef Joshua Shea

                                              Josh was born in Abbeville, SC. He learned his love for cooking when his mom had him
                                              take over the cooking duties for family dinners. He has a BA in economics and statistics from
                                              Clemson University. When attending Clemson he was a cook for a Turkish family restaurant,
                                              and worked at Tiger Town where he learned his great bartending skills. He is now attending
                                              the Culinary Institute of Charleston where he is double majoring in culinary arts and hospitality
                                              management.

                                              Josh has worked under Chef Matthew Niessner, a classically trained French executive
                                              chef at Halls Chop House. From this time working with Chef Niessner, he honed his skills as
                                              a saucier, the grill and butchery. He also worked under Tyler Florence for the food and wine
                                              festival this was an excellent experience for him.

                                              Josh’s style of cooking pulls from using local, fresh, and seasonal foods cooked properly
                                              while paired with complementary sauces. His focus is on designing menus for individuals for
                                              weekly meal plans and private high end dinner parties. Josh Is partners with Ulfet Ralph in U R the cook. He is passionate about cooking hopes to show the people of Charleston his love for all food.
