The Four "Chef"Men!
Adam Miller
My name is Adam Miller, I am 30 years old, and I have been in the restaurant industry for the past nine years as a bartender. I came to the decision that it was time to grow up and find a career. I love food and cooking, so culinary school was the perfect fit. As I am completing my first year at the Art Institute, it is obvious to me that I have made the right decision. With my passion for cooking, and the inspiration my family gives me, I plan to go very far in the culinary arena
Jeffrey Myers
Jeff is a 28 year old aspiring chef. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Jeff is United States Army veteran and full time culinary student. His passion for the culinary world began as a child by being in the kitchen and on the grill with his parents, Alan and Kelly. He enrolled in Ai in November of 2011 and graduated the associates program with honors. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree while working in downtown Charleston on the line at the famous Poogan's Porch. Jeff is determined, focused and a well-rounded, compassionate person. He is a strong leader, excellent teacher and a great asset to any team.
Duane Thompson
My name is Duane Thompson, I’m a Libra, I like long walks on the beach at sunrise, oh and it’s all about food for me. I’ve held every position in a restaurant and decided it was time to make cooking certifiably official. I’ll be graduating the Art Institute of Charleston with a degree in Culinary Arts coming up in March. I look forward to extending my love of food and my passion for it to the world at large.
Bryan Cates
My name is Bryan Cates and I am 21 years old from Greensboro, North Carolina. I moved to Charleston, South Carolina, July 2010, to sink my roots into the rich culinary soil in the holy swamp. A little over a year has gone by since I have began my pursuit of obtaining as much of the vast culinary knowledge our world holds. I continue to live each day looking forward into the unfathomably bright future which awaits me, holding a resilient philosophy that you either get better or worse, you never stay the same.
